Mission 020 – Furious Paint
Ah, the warband. Cheap and expendable… or are they? This month’s mission is about carefully leveraging your models the Fury rule, aka Impetuous models or models with Frenzy. If you’re not familiar with the rules, you can find them here:
The Fury rule offers a discount in points over what would normally be a unit’s cost based solely on its statline and equipment, and offers the potential of an extra order. So what’s the downside? Well, that extra order isn’t under your complete control, so it’s up to you set your model up for success when they do their thing!
The other side of the coin here is that not only can you set up your impetuous models for success, you can set up your opponent’s for failure!
The Mission
Given that most of us are under lockdown thanks to COVID-19, I figured I’d make this month a painting competition! The theme:
Paint anything with the Fury rule. Frenzy or any level of impetuous counts.
Here are the rules:
- Start a new model, please don’t share it on social media till the end of the month!
- Take a picture of the model before you start (primed or starting to be base coated is fine, just not finished).
- Send up to 4 photos (not including the start photo) to [email protected].
That’s it! You’ve got until the end of April, evening-ish Pacific Time.
