It was something along these lines. Obviously I’m missing something here but it grasps the general idea. Ghulams with ABHs and McMurrough were in group 1 while Zuyong Haris with Valerya and Rui Shi were in group 2.

Deployment

Dahshat DZ
Nomad DZ

Turn 1

Top of 1 – Dahshat

Dahshat starts strong with a Haris push towards right and middle Console. Camoed Hunzakut discovers one of the Decoys. Buffed Rui Shi took a position near the console, while Valerya pressed the button and discovered Designated Target near my two Camo Markers on her first try. Then she walked up closer to mark Designated Target with Spotlight and fall back to the middle.

Then other group started its job. Linked Ghulam with a LGL (Data Tracker) started pumping out grenades. Killed the Designated Target and Camoed Heckler with Jammer. Luckily the KHD Zero dodged out of the danger zone and it’s all that was done with 3-4 orders. Next one of the Camo markers reached my Zero and turned out to be a Minelayer Liberto. He used the rest of the orders and didn’t manage to kill the Zero after all.

Bottom of 1 – Nomads

So at the start I felt pretty confident. I lost only 1 order so I had quite a lot to work with. My intruder in the middle of DZ on a building had basically a shooting gallery. And he had about 5-6 enemy troops to take out and matching number of orders to do so. If anything happened on the way I had a MSR Spektr behind him. Morlock laid down a smoke on Intruders vision so that Spektr still could shoot plenty.

The only problem was Rui Shi in one of the targets. Naturally it was the first thing I targeted. And I lost the Intruder in first exchange barely below 16”. (Now that I think about it I probably should have walked up to Spektr and get the Rui Shi from there in much better odds.

Next a Morlock tried her luck against discovered liberto but got shot. Eventually I had to bring Zero behind him. Yes, the one out of Camo shot the liberto but he survived and on the 2nd order I went behind him and he failed a Dodge Roll to change his facing while I used Trinity on Valerya behind a wall. Then I kept walking using Stealth until I reached the Console and discovered one of the Decoys safely out of Libertos ZoC. Then i proceeded to kill the Decoy with said Zero and have one last try at Libertos back.

Puppets pushed the left flank to kill the Hunzakut, get the left Console and set up defensive positions near it.

Turn 2

Top of 2 – Dahshat

More shenanigans brought McMurder to the middle to cover approach to my DZ from Puppets with smoke. Then Zuyong walked in onto my Data Tracker Moran and ate a BS shot. McMurrough joined him and slashed Moran into pieces with his sword. Then he tried to reach Puppet Master but he ran out of Orders with one last chain that Master managed to Dodge. Meanwhile McMurrough already had a Wound from before when Spektr shot him.

On her left side, Doctor Ghulam rushes to heal the Unconscious Decoy (we’re not sure we played that one right and are still waiting for the response on the forums) activated my right console and discovered last Decoy which then she kills.

Bottom of 2 – Nomads

I have to rescue the Master before I can do anything with the Puppets. I drop the Tomcat Engineer with a Zondcat in my DZ. Take out the McMurder and finish off the Zuyong.

My Puppets can finally move. They discover another Decoy, kill it. Then with one of the Puppets I try to take out the Rui Shi that’s still in SF Mode in the middle, but it dies to multiple AROs and Rui Shi survives. The remaining two push left side. Kill the Decoy and bunker up near its corpse. Plan is to survive, take back the right Console with Tomcat and kill the Designated Target.

Turn 3

Top of 3 – Dahshat

On their 3rd turn Dahshat realized that their are the threat and another Libertos appears out of Camo near the Puppets. This one takes out both Puppets. I don’t recall Dahshat doing anything important for the remainder of the round.

Bottom of 3 – Nomads

Now I’m lacking orders and equipment to finish the mission. Only thing I can still do is take my right console back with the Tomcat. I managed to do so without worry and  finish the game 2-8 in favor of Dahshat

Post Game Analysis

I’ve found the format of equal Orders split quite interesting. Probably will use it more in the future. I still have to play a bit with combat groups, since 3 Morlocks in one of the groups took out quite many Regular Orders out. Maybe Vanilla Nomads and Bakunin are not so well fit to split those groups evenly when you’re usually taking 3 Morlocks as a must-have.

I think the game would have ended in a very different way had I not lost the Intruder to Rui-Shi. I could have taken out about 6 model without moving from my spot and reach the Designated Target in the middle with ease if I hadn’t lost that FtF. I’m not sure what else I could have done to take her out with ease.

I’m definitely going to explore even-split groups in the future, since it’s quite promising and there’s a player in my community who repeatedly kicked my ass with lists made this way.
